Ft Lauderdale Cruise Line Terminal Hotels

Going on a cruise is probably one of the best ways to relax and unwind. Fort Lauderdale is a great destination for a cruise port. There are over 5,400 ships that port from Port Everglades, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It’s also a major storage and distribution hub and a United States Navy liberty port. Made up of land within three municipalities – Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, and Dania Beach, Port Everglades handles a lot of port operations day and day out and is a sight to see.

The Port Everglades cruise line terminal is one of the world’s busiest cruise departure ports. They say it even holds the world record for accommodating the most cruise passengers in one day. The number was something around 44,108 passengers. And over 4 million passengers pass through annually. Now that’s a lot of travelers. And when you’re not boarding or departing, check out the museums, beaches, and nightlife that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. There’s an indoor and outdoor flea market and the world’s largest drive-in movie theater. It’s got 13 screens showing some very fine films. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is also a great attraction for families. Park along the beach, try out the nature trails, camp or have a picnic.
